Hey y’all I hope all is well in your world right now. We are wrapping up our Godly Pursuit series this week with Chase and Kendall Durham. I love this couple and they are so encouraging to me. They started dating as new Christians and now do life and ministry together. Seeing that I have never been married, this post is going to be incredibly short. I’m almost done already!

Personally, I am so stoked for marriage. I am excited to be able to do ministry with someone and love someone and be loved by someone and have a family and consistency with some. All the things. But, hear me when I say this, I have every single one of those things now. I do ministry with Sophie and with other friends. I love so many people and people love me. I have an incredible family. I have a consistent relationship with the Lord. You do not have to wait until you meet someone you love romantically in order to do these things. Life is happening whether you are with your future spouse or not, and the truth of the matter is that any second you don’t spend furthering the Kingdom of God is wasted. Don’t wait to fall in love with someone to fall in love with the Lord and with ministry.

Marriage is a gift, but like all things in life it is so difficult. I think often we romanticize marriage and think of it as something that is perfect when in reality it’s far from it. Chase and Kendall talked so beautifully about the ins and outs of marriage and what it’s looked like for them. Go listen to it now on whatever platform you prefer.

Praying,

Addison Wimbish
